My First Blog Post: First of All, Introduction

beyonce howya

Hello and welcome to the rebellious page of the Bohemian buzzer. That’s right, I write like I talk. So if you know me personally, you’ll probably already know. And yes, I laaav Beyonce!! But that’s a story for another day.

While this is not a life blog per say, it is a blog about life and it’s interesting twists and turns. The blog will feature mainly curated articles but definitely and most definitely will be glazed with my (widely acclaimed) intrusive opinions. You will love them, I promise.

I also feel like I need to state here why I started this blog. I started not because I’d seen so many people do it and succeed, and fail too; but because I had always said that I would and never did.

So, I guess I’m saying I beat procrastination to it and here we are now. Let’s hope it doesn’t wangle it’s way back in.

On that note, please ensure that as you read along, you’re as honest as possible, don’t be hypocritical in your comments, say it as it is, make known your thoughts in their rawest forms because the blog is as much mine as it is yours!

Now that you’ve read: What is that  one thing you’ve been meaning to do/start? Just start. You might start and fail but don’t ever stop trying because I actually believe, just like Denzel Washington said that if you hang around the barbershop long enough, you will actually get a haircut.

A` tout a` l’heure buzzers!

bye boo

Oh by the way, a` tout a` l’heure is a French word that means ‘see you later’. Don’t forget that.

Nigerian Doctor and Husband Accused of Human Trafficking in the UK

Before You Read: The couple, both man and woman are a sad lot, suffering from a poverty mentality and the woman being abused (reportedly trafficked) is a greedy person. And no, this is not a case of what they do in  the abroad, this is what is currently practiced in Nigeria, people who just because they can afford to eat 3 times a day, feel the need to get a house help for whom they cannot provide or cater.

You know I don’t mean to cloud your judgement, right? Anyways, here’s what’s got me heated…..

Dr Ayodeji Adewakun, 44, and her husband Abimbola Adewakun, 48, have been accused of trafficking a Nigerian woman to the UK and making her work 18-hour shifts. They are alleged to have paid the accused, Iyabo Olatunji, £20 a week and beat her when she demanded a higher wage.

Olatunji, 37, told Southwark Crown Court on Monday that she was also made to work hard everyday cleaning their house before staying late and cooking the couple’s dinner.
The couple allegedly persuaded Olatunji who was working as a secretary for a local government in Nigeria to leave her home and job in Nigeria to look after their two young children at their three-bedroom home in Erith, south east London, in 2004.
In a contract signed in 2004, Naij reports that Ayodeji promised her £450 per month in a contract signed by the couple and the victim which also set out a range of terms and conditions of her employment. The contract reportedly also included caring for the couple’s two young children at an agreed time and days.
However, Olatunji denied she was made aware of any duties expected of her outside of her babysitting role and added that she had never even had a bank account set up for her to receive her wages into. She claims she came to the UK with just five Nigerian Naira in her pocket and was not even treated to a t-shirt she liked during a family holiday to Euro Disney.
She claims she was made to sleep at midnight and forced to get up at 6am every morning to get the children fed and ready for school. She recalled being slapped three times by the doctor when she asked for more money to cater for herself.
The first occasion, coinciding with her birthday, was documented in a diary she kept, which also detailed the strict payment schedule. Jurors heard the babysitter wrote:
Aunty fight with me today. She slapped my face twice. The day I will never forget in my life. The first time in history that somebody has slapped my face.”
Olatunji also claimed she was assaulted again twice before she reported her situation to Ayodeji’s mother.
Ayodeji and her husband both denied obtaining services by deception and trafficking a person into the UK for exploitation.
The trial continues.

Kim Kardashian is Looking for One Beauty Blogger to Join her Glam Empire In Upcoming TV Show ‘Glam Masters’

First, What Do I Think?

Their ratings are ridiculously low and the sisters are now diversifying or shall we say building personal brands. Or did you not catch it on Instagram that even Kylie, the youngest of the sisters is starting her own show? ‘Life of Kylie’?

Albeit, I’d always known the tipping point was near.

But this is what is reporting:

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian posted a callout on her Instagram. The mobile mogul is looking to expand her glam team, so she’s inviting the world to compete for a spot on a new Lifetime series named, Glam Masters.

She’s targeting beauty bloggers specifically, according to Lifetime‘s casting site: “Four lucky bloggers will go head-to-head on each week’s episode of Glam Masters. Only a few will make it to semi-finals and eventually finals, where one will become the Glam Master. The next big name in the beauty world could be YOU.”

The application asks questions about the applicant’s makeup history (“have you done makeup for events?” etc.), makeup philosophy, social media following, and personality (“how do you respond to competition?” is one of the questions because what’s a show without drama?). The prize seems to be a position as beauty director for the Kardashians’ apps, according to the physical application.

Ya’ll! Computer Village is Leaving Ikeja!

As part of efforts to transform Lagos into a mega city,  the Lagos State government has decided to relocate Computer Village to ICT park, Kantangowa in Agbado. The decision was made known today during 2017 Press Briefing.

For the uninitiated, Computer Village is a highly patronised market for a wide range of technology products, ranging from phones, laptops and other gadgets. It is also the hub for product parts and repairs of gadget. Several people work and make a living at Computer Village. It is presently situated in the Ikeja axis of Lagos, Nigeria.

The Lagos State government plans this move in order to control environmental degradation, housing stock deficit and traffic congestion in Ikeja axis.

For a market which was not built or developed by the government, it begs the question of how possible it is for government to exercise power and relocate it to another location.

Computer Villiage keeps on expanding and developing daily, it houses a wide number of workers and business owners, if it is moved what is the guarantee that wherever it is located to, traffic congestions will be curbed.

That’s what’s buzzing guys! Go to for the epistle.
